SWSL was present at the Foss4G. We supported 52° North at their booth and represented especially the research and the courses performed at the Institute for Geoinformatics. Additionally, we presented the results of a compliance testing of several OGC WPS products (clients & servers). The title of the talk was Compliance Testing of Open Source Software for Web Processing Services. The talk resulted in a lively discussion and there will be follow-up actions for next year´s Foss4G in Denver. In the meanwhile interested folks are invited to visit the open wiki or the mailinglist (hosted by OGC) to contribute and share the experience of WPS interoperability.
SWSL also attended the Birds of a Feather (BoF) session about WPS, at which different users and developers could share their experience and ideas on future directions of web-based processing. Overall, the conference was highly interesting for SWSL, as for instance in the field of web-based geoprocessing 8 presentations, 2 Workshops and a tutorial were held.
The slides of the talk can be found below. Ifgi and 52°North had also joined presentations in the field of Web-based Geo-processing and Sensor Web. The slides about the presentations related to Sensor Web, are also available below.
